Conquering Legal and Political Challenges to Maximize and Protect Your Scope of Practice (1 Class A CE)

There is a critical need for CRNAs to understand how legislative and regulatory language intersects with institution-specific scope of practice. Currently, CRNA practice in multiple states is under attack by physician groups who are subscribing to propaganda aimed at undermining CRNA scope of practice and use of earned degree titles, leading to reduced access to care through unnecessary provider redundancy. Actionable insights from both an independent practice CRNA and an expert healthcare lawyer will be offered, addressing how to protect scope of practice via institutional bylaws. The experts will engage in audience participation and validate lived experiences, reinforcing lessons learned by participants in an effort to reduce redundancy of cost to nurse anesthesia associations lobbying and legal fees for similar issues.
