Buffy earned her master’s degree in Anesthesia from the Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia in 1995 and joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a staff CRNA in 1996. Over the course of her tenure at Vanderbilt, Buffy has held numerous leadership positions within the Department of Anesthesia. She currently serves as the Interim Associate Nurse Executive of Advanced Practice and the Director of the Advanced Practice Fellowship Program for the Vanderbilt Health System.
In 2014, Buffy completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and in 2022, she earned a master’s degree in the Management of Health Care. In addition to her work at Vanderbilt, Buffy has actively contributed to global health initiatives, providing anesthesia care on more than 24 pediatric surgical mission trips.
