Rhea Temmermand is a neuropharmacologist and CRNA conducting groundbreaking research on chronic pain mechanisms at Drexel University's Department of Pharmacology and Physiology. Her work focuses on astrocyte glutamate transporters and their role in pain modulation, with an emphasis on non-opioid therapeutic development. Dr. Temmermand is also the co-founder of Atomic Anesthesia, a digital education platform enhancing science training for nurse anesthesia professionals, and has been recognized with prestigious awards including the Art Zwerling Grant and CRNA Scholar Award from the AANA Foundation.
