Resident Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Mikayla Morgan is a resident registered nurse anesthetist (RRNA) at Duke University’s Nurse Anesthesia DNP program. Her doctoral project, titled “Evaluation of a Dexmedetomidine Infusion Protocol in Pediatric Patients Post-Cardiac Catheterization,” reflects her passion for pediatric anesthesia and improving outcomes for children undergoing complex procedures. She is also deeply committed to mentorship and advancing the nurse anesthesia profession for SRNAs/RRNAs. In September, Mikayla will begin a two-year term as a Resident Trustee on the AANA Foundation Board, where she looks forward to supporting research, education, and advocacy efforts that shape the future of the profession.
