Matthew is a nurse anesthesiologist practicing at Indiana University Health. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati nurse anesthesiology program in 2021. He has a passion for cardiothoracic anesthesia, and echocardiography (TEE and TTE) that was fostered while working in the Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute in Nashville Tennessee. His clinical practice involves transesophageal and transthoracic echocardiography as well as point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). Matthew's practice includes the use of TEE for interventional cardiology procedures such as Watchman and TAVR insertion. He is certified in point-of-care cardiac ultrasound and is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and the POCUS Academy. Matthew has previously published evidence-based practice guidelines for organ procurement in the AANA Journal in 2023.
