Bridget is a graduate of the Hospital of St. Raphael School of Nurse Anesthesia in New Haven, Connecticut, and is currently enrolled in the DNAP program at Yale New Haven Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia. She has worked as a CRNA in a variety of private and university clinical settings in Connecticut, California and Arizona, and is presently on staff at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
Bridget served as member, co-chair and chair for the AANA Peer Assistance Panel and is now a Wellness Ambassador. As a CRNA in long term recovery from a fentanyl addiction with over 26 years sober, she has dedicated her time away from the head of the bed teaching anesthesia professionals, students, and hospital systems about the risks, signs, treatment, and prevention of substance use disorder. Her hope is to eliminate barriers, namely stigma, so that others may find recovery.
